Black Brunch in Nashville: The Spots to Know (2026)
From East Nashville soul food to downtown DJ brunches and HBCU alumni day parties — where Nashville's Black brunch scene shows up.
By Ayana Baldwin, Gulf & South Correspondent
Nashville's Black brunch scene stretches from East Nashville dining rooms to downtown rooftops, with the HBCU and Divine Nine crowd bringing their own daytime energy. Some of these are proper sit-down plates; others are DJ-driven day parties built around the community. Here's where to go, honestly sorted so you know what you're walking into.
Noir Kitchen & Cocktails — East Nashville
A Black-owned upscale soul-food restaurant at 501 Main St serving weekend brunch. Doors open Saturday and Sunday from 10am. If you want a real sit-down plate on the east side, start here.
Roasted Nashville — Nashville
A Black-owned brunch spot "infused with the spirit of African American culture." Expect bottomless mimosas and a DJ working the room. Food and a soundtrack, both.
Suite Twelve25 — 1225 Meridian St
A Black-owned urban hang-suite and bistro at 1225 Meridian St, with a live DJ spinning hip-hop, reggae and R&B, and soul-food brunch on the menu. A lounge feel with a plate to match.
Stateside Kitchen (Dream Hotel) — Downtown
Inside the Dream Hotel at 210 4th Ave N, "Brunch N Beats" is a DJ party brunch with endless mimosas and Southern cuisine. It's popular with the Black social crowd downtown.
Harriet's Rooftop — Nashville
"The Morning Set" is a rooftop day-brunch with DJ programming aimed squarely at the Black social scene. This one leans day party more than sit-down — come for the view and the music.
MySista Circle — Music City Center
A morning gathering and brunch at Music City Center centering Black women, with healing, empowerment and community programming. Less about the menu, more about the room and who's in it.
TSU vs JSU Alumni Day Party — First Horizon Park
An HBCU alumni day party at First Horizon Park tied to the Tennessee State vs Jackson State matchup. Daytime food, drinks and a DJ — a game-weekend gathering, not a restaurant.
Nashville Greek Picnic (Divine Nine Weekend) — 900 Rosa L Parks Blvd
The 15th annual Divine Nine picnic weekend at 900 Rosa L Parks Blvd, with strolls, day parties and daytime social gatherings. Built for the Greek community and everyone who runs with it.
That's the spread — sit-down plates when you want to eat, DJ brunches and alumni day parties when you want the scene. Nashville gives you both.
