Peoria Park District anchors a weeklong Juneteenth celebration during which multiple organizations come together to honor Juneteenth through storytelling, music, art, education and unity. Events include the Jubilee Day celebration at Glen Oak Park, Miss Juneteenth Pageant at the Carver Center, the NAACP Peoria Juneteenth Freedom Parade, and a Juneteenth Fest with vendor markets featuring Black-owned businesses.
