Celebrate Juneteenth at Hampton's VA250 Sail at Fort Monroe on June 19, 2026, offering outstanding ship-watching opportunities from 9:00 AM to noon as tall ships make their way to harbor in full sail. The event combines Hampton's bicentennial America 250 commemoration with Juneteenth programming at the historic site where the first enslaved Africans arrived in 1619 and where Union forces declared escaping slaves "contraband of war" in 1861.
