The Coastal Bend Juneteenth Festival's marquee evening event, Liberation After Dark is the grown-and-sexy kickoff to the long Juneteenth weekend in Corpus Christi. Running 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Friday night, the dance pairs a Black and White dress code with "Cowboy Carter Chic" inflections — boots, brims, and rhinestones welcome — for a stylish night of dancing, fellowship, and freedom celebration produced by TABPHE-CC. Presale tickets run $30 and are available through the chapter's festival site, with proceeds supporting TABPHE-CC's higher-education scholarships and year-round programming serving Black students and educators across the Coastal Bend. The dance anchors a multi-event Friday that includes the festival's daytime opening at Water's Edge Park.
