About this event
The City of Charleston kicks off its Juneteenth Celebrations with a parade starting at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center at noon and proceeding to the Juneteenth Festival at City Center at Slack Plaza. The festival features live music, poetry, speakers, dance performances, vendors, and the crowning of Mr. and Miss Juneteenth - the capital city's signature Juneteenth gathering.
