Winslow Township Juneteenth Celebration

Camden County and Winslow Township co-host this community Juneteenth celebration at New Brooklyn Park in Sicklerville, a Camden County township with a substantial Black community rooted in the region's free-Black history. The free, family-friendly event runs five hours and features food vendors, live music headlined by the Wallstreet Soul Band (sponsored by the Camden County Commissioners), and cultural performances honoring the June 19, 1865 emancipation of the last enslaved Africans in Galveston, Texas. The celebration draws residents from across South Jersey, including Camden City, Lawnside, and surrounding municipalities, and is one of Camden County's official Juneteenth observances. Activities highlight Black culture, history, and contemporary contributions of the Camden County African American community.
